Membership
Categories
The first three categories of membership may use the BSWA logo on their
letterheads, literature, advertising, vans and websites.
Manufacturer/Distributor
Contractor
Consultant
Probationary Contractor.
Contractors who have been trading for less than three years may apply for
probationary membership.
Only full members listed
on this website may use the logo - please check here before engaging the
services of a company claiming to be a member. Membership certificates are
available.
Our latest publication, Waterproofing Existing
Basements, complements the Basement Waterproofing Design Guide and the Basement
Waterproofing Site Guide already available.
Contractors will normally provide a guarantee for their structural
waterproofing work to cover a period of ten years. In addition,
our members are able to supply insurance backing for their guarantees.
Members have access to training and assessment to ensure their staff attain a
level of competence in design and application consistent with relevant codes and
good practice, thus ensuring the high standard of workmanship required.
The BSWA
welcomes applications from structural waterproofing contractors,

Structural
waterproofing techniques can be used to resolve a range of problems
from waterproofing damp basements, underground vaults, cellars and
tunnels to protecting car park decks, water treatment plants and
swimming pools.
The terms cementitious tanking,
cavity drainage, basement waterproofing, sprayed membranes, bonded
sheet membranes, sprayed concrete, gunite, concrete waterproofing,
leak sealing by pressure grouting, resin sealants, damp-proofing,
concrete repair, concrete protection, timber treatment, rising damp
and structural drainage may all be used in a waterproofing context.
