Wykamol have announced
SumpGuard, a pump monitoring system, designed to monitor ground water sump
pumps.
In the past it has been impossible to know whether a sump pump in a
basement conversion or new build basement has been working occasionally or
comes on very regularly. This has implications if only one pump has been
fitted in a sump chamber. Wykamol felt that more information was needed to
help decide the long term viability of the pumping station.
The pump wires into the unit then the
unit is wired into a fuse spur. The unit also comes with a float switch so
can be used in a double pump system.
The Sumpguard can be set up to show the
amount of water pumped over a given period of time. This feature will
provide information on pumping demand placed on the pump, and will give
data on the potential risk. It also shows how many times the pump has been
activated. It has a built-in alarm and an alarm relay.
Sumpguard can be retro-fitted to any
existing sump chambers already installed to give peace of mind.
